The most valuable Weller pottery are the early hand-decorated pieces. After 1935, the company made only molded pottery until the company closed in 1948. The later items are considerably less valuable than the older pieces made from the late 1800s through the early 1930s. To estimate the value, try to date your pieces by identifying Weller’s unique pottery marks.
Weller Coppertone Frog Bowl
Pictured is a 5 1/2-inch by 10-inch full-figure frog bowl with two embossed fish on the sides, It is marked with a full incised mark, dated around the 1920s, in excellent condition. This piece’s selling price was $660 in 2012.
Weller Muskuta Nude on Rock Flower Frog
This 8- by 5-inch Weller female nude from the Muskota line was originally produced around 1915. It still stands out as one of the more interesting Weller pottery lines. The piece portrays a woman with white glazed skin and blonde hair resting on green and brown rocks. It was marked with Weller block-letter-incised mark. In very good to excellent condition, its selling price was $300 in 2012.
Weller L’Art Nouveau Vase
This 12- by 4-inch vase features two art nouveau-style faces with flowers. This style of art dates the piece around the late 19th century and early 20th century. It had a post-factory drill hole under its base. In good condition, its selling price was $330 in 2012.
Weller Louwelsa American Indian Portrait Floor Vase
This Weller Louwelsa floor vase, measuring 24 inches by 13 inches, features American Indian artwork. It is signed by A. Williams, otherwise, the vase is unmarked. Louwelsa was one of Weller’s most popular lines and ultimately included over 500 different shapes of vases and bowls. This piece has been professionally restored on the rim. It was in very good condition considering the subject matter and its rare size. Its selling price in 2012 by Morphy Auctions was $2,700.
Weller Coppertone Frog Pin Tray
In excellent condition, this Weller frog pin tray is a fun and whimsical piece. It is marked as Weller Pottery with a black ink mark and is 2 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. Its selling price was $330 in 2012.
Weller Hudson Vase
This excellent-condition hand-decorated and double-handled Weller Hudson vase is marked with a Weller Ware ink mark. The Weller Hudson line was developed in the late 1910s to the early 1920s. To this day, it remains among the highest quality pottery ever produced. This vase is 6 3/4 inches tall. Its selling price in 2011 was $295.
Weller Cretone Ball Vase
This Weller ball vase from the Cretone line is marked as Weller pottery. From 1930 to 1932, Cretone was among the last freehand-decorated lines introduced at Weller. The other final lines were Stellar, Geode, Raceme, and Bonito. The vase features white running gazelles and flowers hand-painted against a black background. In excellent condition, it is 7 inches tall and its selling price was $590 in 2011.
Weller Sicard Vase
In 1902, Weller hired Jacques Sicard, who developed the Sicard line, which ended in 1907. The line continues to be one of Weller’s most sought-after patterns to this date. This excellent-condition Weller Sicard vase features a beautiful iridescent glaze. It is 8 3/4 inches tall and its selling price was $590 in 2011.
Weller Xenia Vase
This 11 1/4-inch tall Weller Xenia vase has a rare color with beautiful floral decoration. It is marked Weller under the base. In excellent condition, the vase was selling for $470 in 2011.
Weller Silvertone Vase
This finely painted Silvertone vase decorated with flowers and butterflies is in excellent condition. It is marked with the original Weller Ware ink stamp under the base and dates to about the late 1910s. This 12-inch tall vase was selling for $380 in 2011.
Weller Rhead Faience Mug
This beautiful, excellent-condition mug is decorated by Rhead, a famous ceramics artist, with a geisha, butterfly, and bees. It is marked under its base and stands 5 1/4 inches tall. Its selling price was $265 in 2011.

The LaSa line was introduced by John Lessell who was the art director for Weller pottery in 1920. This Weller LaSa vase is in excellent condition. It is decorated with trees and mountains and stands 4 1/4 inches tall. Its selling price was $350 in 2011.
